Wonderful watch. Is it a 14060?

It’s a 14060M. I bought it in 2009 - the days when you could walk into a main dealer and get one there and then.

Maybe I was just lucky.

And walk out of the store wearing it without a worry in the world.

That’s exactly how I did it. What’s great about this generation of Rolex watches, including this reference, is the rattling clasp.

Here is a picture of mine showing the logo in the glass.

New strap day for my lowly Hamilton Intra-Matic Chronograph. Also purchased the same strap in black but digging this one for now.

We were very lucky to find it about 30 odd years ago whilst living in Hong Kong.

I really like that, and on the lookout for one, but I’m a little worried on its size. My wrist circumference is just 18cm. Yours appears to fit well, so would you mind divulging your wrist circumference?

Another 18 cm here, go for it.

Another day, another Snowflake! This is a (unpolished!) ref 7021 from 1971.

I think it’s important that these older watches keep “looking their age”, and that is very, very nice. :+1:

Yes, this is a true gem. ”Moon crater dial” and lovely color on the tritium.

After all the high horological photos of exquisite timepieces I’d like to tell the story of my $200 Seiko.
It’s interesting the difference a strap change can make to one’s appreciation of an old watch. I bought this Seiko Sportura Kinetic Perpetual new about 15 years ago. It came with a reasonably good bracelet which had loosened over the years. I was not a watch afficianado at the time I bought it. It was just a tool with a good sweeping second hand that I required as a GP for taking pulses.
It has required zero maintenance due to its robust construction. It have smashed and bashed over the years quite unselfconsciously and it has remained accurate and loyal. I have never had to reset the date as it perpetual to year 2100 and does not need battery changes due to its kinetic mechanism, a precursor to the Grand Seiko spring drive.
Yesterday I Swapped the old bracelet for a black leather strap. The appearance of the old warhorse has now been transformed and I look upon it with renewed appreciation. It is like a new watch.

Fabulous. My Seiko Kinetic was serviced not long ago and nk

ow works hard as my garage watch after being a daily for 20 years.

@Guinnless yes, it’s a great “beater” watch. And no anguish with scratches.
