Hi. I used to be able to stream YouTube on my iPad and iPhone through my Naim streamer using Airplay. When I try to do it now it plays for a split second then stops and I get a message on the YouTube screen “Something went wrong. Tap to try again” I tap and I get the same message. I can stream other platforms ok such as BBC iPlayer etc etc. It just seems to be a YouTube issue. I have an ND5 XS2 and a MuSo QB. I get the same issue with both devices. I have no problem streaming my music using Asset Management from my Mac computer. Any thoughts?
Have you updated IOS recently?
Have you tried restarting your phone/iPad?
Have you tried removing the power chord from the wall of your streamers for a full 5 minutes?
Alphabet are being a complete pain at the moment, one of the reasons we will never use their “products” but are you using a VPN?

Weirdly, when I reset both my Cube and Ndx and reset my router, it works, but only once. When I try it a second time I get the error message.

Hi @Shpongle
I have the same issue here from iPad running Youtube music to a 222. We’ve also reported the fault to Apple and Google quite a while ago, as this is not a new issue. Apple consider it a Youtube app bug. Interestingly repeat on Youtube Music app and it works fine.
Have also tried it on a few competitor products and they also fail in same intermittent way.
Have popped it on my todo list to break down the api calls to see where they are messing up.
Regards
Steve
Cheers Steve. Glad I’m not the only one. Not so long ago it was working fine. I could easily air play YouTube through my streamer. Just a question, what do you mean when you say “Interestingly repeat on Youtube Music app and it works fine”
Thanks
Don’t talk to me about YouTube
I got a new phone on Friday (it was also my birthday
) and I put my old 13 pro max next the 17 pro and it was supposed to clone it 1:1 almost everything is now sorted but YouTube hasn’t given me a single notification since the switch over I even tried deleting and redownloading the app and absolutely nothing changed.
