2 x NAP V 145 Monoblocks vs NAP 250.2

Hello swarm,

I am currently using a Uniti Atom HE with a NAP 200 and want to upgrade to a NAP 250 but also can get a pair of NAP V 145 which sounds very interesting to me. Unfortunately I have no chance to listen to them personally but I found out the NAP V 145 was made for AV purposes only but were build with NAP 250 elements, 007 transistors and bigger transformers. Is there any helpful info and experience to share?

Thank you so much!

Ok I have direct experience of this .I was determined to try a pair of 145s as I thought ,and this is many years ago , that this must be improved on 135s ,which I also had had .I sourced and tried it out for months . But it’s not , for whatever reason I cant say . A single 250.2 sounds better ,in the timing coherence musicality stakes . It’s a dead end ,bad mistake which will only have you scratching your head .

I recall that We tried a pair of 145s against a NAP300 and a NAP250.2. It was close to the latter, with the 300 best of all. Therefore not really worthwhile. Get a 250.2 or a 300 instead.

The NAP145 was a mono amp in all senses…there was just an input for a single (right?) channel with the provided cables. So using a pair of them would give you dual mono output instead of stereo. The work-around was to get a custom cable that allowed the second 145 to accept a left channel input.

Recall that the 135s had two dedicated Ch1 and Ch2 inputs, unlike the 145.
