Looking at various publicity photos and the Naim product website, is it safe to assume that Naim are now ‘correctly’ assigning left and right speaker and interconnect connections; ie left is now on the left and right is now on the right?

Yes, the speaker sockets on the power amp output are now on the ‘right’ side so that the cables don’t need to be crossed over. That applies to the current Uniti range and the New Classic 250.
