Its been suggested i could run the the audio signal direct from the 282 to my 250DR leaving the hicap connected for power only. Thoughts?
You could, but the Naim recommended way is via the Hicap. I’d stick with that.

It’s possible but not recommended. Signal should pass through the HiCAP thus keeping the signal earth and system earths close together for best performance.
