Any one tried this combination?
Yes it works really well, but I rank the Nac 82 even higher.
This is what I was thinking l, but this would be a temporary thing,
In a short while I would be upgrading to matching SC + amp,
Or it’s 82, SC, napsc,
82 SC is a superb combo,The Napsc is needed for both Nac 82 and 282,they don’t work at all without it.
In your opinion would a p8 work better with a 82 or 282
I think that Nac 82 is more direct and engaging sounding, the 282 a little more laidback and refined.
For me the Nac 82 is a better match.
If you have an 82 you can use the internal phono boards, saving cash and clutter. I had an 82 for many years and it’s a fine preamp.
Thanks for reply’s, it’s only 2 of you I know,
It confirms to what I was thinking,
I just saw a brand new 282 for a good price,
So I had a slight deviation for awhile,
Any how Just got a wicked deal on a 82/SC
Be here next week, then it be of to Sheffield,
Happier days to come,

I may be a bit late to the party here but I used a 282/CB HiCap/CB 135s from 2004 to 2022 and thououghly enjoyed the combination which always provided a thoroughly involving and never harsh listen. The only change in 2022 was replacing the CB HiCap by a Supercap DR which provided a bit more authority and openness to the sound.
I’ve never heard an 82 but if it is anything like a 282 I’m sure you will really enjoy your 82/SC combo.
Thanks for reply
Also Going the 82/SC route works out £500ish cheaper,
Good call. I’d take an 82/SC over any pre in classic range below a 552.
I had my 82 SC2 with 2 x 135sCB. Mix of Olive, OC and CB. Worked a dream.
82 is a superb value pre, and with Supercap is formidable.
@Dan_M thanks, 135s one day,
Got a nice 250 on way also,
How you been?
All good bud.
Keeping busy. Spinning discs and keeping happy!
