282 with olive hi-cap or supercap

Asking for a friend - really.

Is it possible to use the 282 with either olive hicap or even olive supercap?

Well I used my 282 with a single Chrome Bumper Hi-Cap and then dual Chrome Bumper Hi-Caps for a total of about 15 years and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. I now have a Supercap DR on the 282 which is a step up. I therefore see no reason why freshly serviced olive power supplies should should not work well with the 282.

It’s technically possible to use any Supercap, Hicap or Flatcap to power a 282, or the built on supply in a NAP200, 180 and some other power amps, so there are plenty of possibilities. I found that the DR supplies work particularly well with the 282, and my first choice would be a HicapDR.

Happy with Olive Supercap with 282…. Until I find a 52 in the States.
