The power cable will be latter for powerline…I need to buy a British wall outlet because in Israel it is different

Your comments describing what a second 555PS brings to the overall ND555’s performance are very interesting.
The HiFi Critic’s review goes pretty much in the same direction, describing the benefits in glowing terms, particularly in their conclusion.
I suppose I could not resist making this very last step any longer and will place an order
Order a statement pre while you’re at it.
Enjoy! It was the 2nd PS that took the ND beyond the CD in every respect for me
Apart from the usual initial regret at parting with any money for an expensive HiFi item, the end result is certainly worth it, if you can afford it.
For me it is always these days on where to stop the main upgrade path, or at least slow it greatly - I reached this it seems a couple of years ago with the ND555 with the two supplies.
When you realize you are just playing and enjoying music in a simple 'it is just there’ way then you become satisfied and (for me) relived and almost amazed.
Personally I still like to explore further tweaks and upgrades but you need a firm foundation in the chain and you really can’t scrimp on the source if you want the ultimate of what you can presently have with ND555. To me it sounded so silly-better with two supplies that it was not that difficult to know that was what I would be doing.
Enjoy!
DB.
Considering I’m planning to purchase it without testing it, I’ll take your word on that
But, obviously, two power supplies should lower the noise floor and therefore better the overall music presentation.
Now I’ll have to get into some preparations : designing a new rack to accommodate the 7 boxes
As for exploring new tweaks, I really understand the fun of it, and the potential benefits. But it isn’t really my thing.
Still, I have to admit that I spent a huge amount of time learning about acoustics and how to apply correction/treatment to my unperfect listening room.
But most of my free time is dedicated to climbing/mountaineering and, of course to my wife and daughter
Well i was almost about to press the purchase button on an etheregen and power supply till i read your thoughts on this thread. I have now pressed the button on my second 555ps and the etheregen can wait a while. You bad bear you…
Good choice Gazza. Happy man.
Regards the cost of the 555 dr, why not add the ER. It would be a cherry on a wedding cake.
Ohh…bad boy, Gazza.
Actually I think that is a smart move. Let us know what difference 2 x PS555s makes.
I thought about it and decided to do it properly and get my Naim set up, then do etheregen…in a while.
Will do. Its a strange old world, tried to order the ethernet cables to find out i had a new credit card date wise…not updated on paypal. Then darkbears post made me think again.
Two entirely different levels of expenditure of course, but I think you are doing things in the right order, whatever ‘right’ means!
Huh!?
Pure reason - well as I see it.
I’m glad I assisted you to gain clarity in spending your money of things that you will enjoy.
DB.
Thanks DB, hope to see you soon, always a pleasure.
Great move Gazza you won’t regret it and the expense will soon be forgotten when you are enjoying your music!!
Don’t forget plugging order analogue before digital.
Congratulations, you will experience how it improves already good String Quartet Recordings, and brings you insight the Jazz club
Hope to cu soon, some, time also, a pleasure
Step by step, so you will appreciate twice the upgrade. I understand.
Great news Gazza!
I’ll place an order as well, but I guess you’ll have yours first as you’re in the UK.
