2x555DR vs. 1x555DR on a ND555

Sort of feels about right.
Ultimate digital transport into the ultimate DAC. Each fed by their own flat DC psu.
And don’t forget the “upgrade” opertunity for Naim service. Turn your old ND555 into " just" a transport. Then sell you back your DAC bit in another nd556 box.
Genious.

I have an empty Shelf ready for the second one :grimacing: resistance seems futile

I wish I was able to connect the other 2 conmections to my cd555 and use it

Source first still applies, Tim - especially since you’ve just made significant upgrades in the speaker and amplifier departments!

But Tim would have to factor in the cost of a bigger greenhouse!

Fair point, Nigel. Maybe some secateurs, grow bags and potting compost will offset £7k on another PS?

I am quite seriously trying to persuade her not to go for the smallest greenhouse and get one big enough to sit in comfortably

Are you sure your name is Tim or is it Machiavelli…:grimacing:

Get one that is extendable for the future as the Hifi and veggies grow…plenty of seating😉

Extendable greenhouse? Is there such a thing?

I saw one on line a few years ago…sort of concertina effect. Probably more for the veggie producer who wanted to retract some of the greenhouse and save on heating in the winter and then retract for summer snd use the space for production.

Just get a poly tunnel, much cheaper, then you can get the second 555ps lol

Knowing she is a GP and going through a lot of dreadful cases…she deserves the best. Just had our parents Covid vaccinated…my mum was incapacitated five days after the jab…dad was able to cope. Father in law…same effect after a few days, but his wife has dementia…not feeding themselves, medicines etc. Wife and her sister had ambulances and the local GP who was brilliant out to help.
I am sure you will look out for your wife❤️

Yep - her practice started Covid vaccinations today. They were already incredibly busy, and administering vaccines to their entire patient list over the coming months as an additional set of work will make it quite a bit worse.

She works part time (5/8) and usually works 40-50 hours a week including work done at home (studying, paperwork). She hates the 808s and the new location for the rack (though she does like the ability to have three sides of seating in the room which wasn’t possible before), so she has been exceptionally lovely in tolerating me getting where I am with the hifi. And the cinema room. And the history of cars. And it’s our 25th wedding anniversary in a couple of weeks.

But I still think I will have some trouble in persuading her to splash out on a fancy greenhouse. Her parents are farmers and their (well, her father’s) reluctance to spend money is pretty legendary - she hasn’t got it as bad as them but she still struggles with frivolous things. Apart from pressies for the children! But I will be trying to persuade her that this is a once in a lifetime opportunity to get a splendid greenhouse, as if we get one that is a bit small we won’t be getting another! But maybe she wants one a bit smaller so I can’t install myself in there once we retire and get in her way

I forgot her tolerance of my coffee obsession also :grimacing:

What about the fast cars!

Phil

I mentioned “the history of cars” cos it’s not just the fast ones  You’d think she would have known what to expect - when she met me I had a bmw 320i convertible
