3.5mm remote between Ndac and CD5XS

Hi All

I would like some help with an issue on NDX5 Automation so i can control CD player via App

I have connected the following with 3.5mm cable .

NDX has two outputs

NDX - Nait XS

NDX - Ndac

Ndac has 1 input and 1output

Ndac - CD5XS

The NDX and CD5XS are connected to the Ndac with DC1 cables . Ndac connected to Nait XS with Din Cable.

The input selections on the Nait XS and Ndac change to the correct selection as selected on the App.

The main issue is that i can’t control the CD player. I tried different setups with the 3.5mm remote cables and the closest i’ve got with the App controlling the CD player but Nait XS not automatically selecting Aux2 for stage line phono.

Hope this makes sense to someone . At the moment i can select all inputs on app and they work just not able to control CD player

Hi, I had a slightly different set up, using 272 which did work to control the Cd5xs via the app, so try theNDX to cd5xs with the 3.5m cables. You probably won’t be able to control the nDAC as well, so it will be a trade off. Your remote in preamp mode will select all the nDAC inputs, as does one of the old slim Apple Remotes.

The DC1 and din cables do not play any kind of role in controlling the devices.

Thanks for the info , I have had it working with the way use mentioned but as you say it’s a trade off . i think at this moment I’ll stick to using the CD Player remote controller.

I don’t understand why the Ndac remote out into remote input of the CD5XS won’t allow control via the app

Yes, I agree, you would think it was a pass through but it doesn’t seem to work like that unfortunately. I only had the one input on the nDAC so it wasn’t an issue.
