4 pin connector NAP 140

Hi everyone,
I am looking for a replacement 4-pin DIN socket for a NAP 140. Where would be the best place to source an original or correct-spec part for this amplifier?
Thanks in advance for any advice!

Without wishing to breach forum rules re. DIY, the DIN sockets are made by Preh, usually available from places such as RS components, Farnell etc..

Thanks a lot Richard, I will try.

Hi Richard,
I am currently looking to buy a Naim Nait 50. As you know, they are not easy to find second-hand, especially here in Australia.
While I search for one, I wanted to ask: which small speakers would be a good match for this amplifier? I’d love to hear your recommendations.
Thanks.

There have been some threads on this very subject, so well worth having a read.

Personally, I’ve only had a brief listen to the NAIT50, so probably not the best person to advise.

Thanks Richard,

I appreciate your help.

"I currently have the ProAc Tablette 10 paired with a Naim 72/140 and an NDX source. However, I’m not satisfied with the performance—the sound feels very thin and lacks deep bass. I’m wondering if the Naim gear is overdue for a recap. Maybe Nait 50 will be good with Proac

From what I know of the Tablette 10 they are well regarded on Naim kit, but as they are a sealed infinite baffle box they do need to be carefully sited to work with the room - that means placed on good quality stands and with their backs very close to a solid wall. For all that, strong and deep bass will never really be the thing with such small speakers, although the quality should potentially be fine. I’ll let others with more direct experience here add their advice.

I’ll try them on my Custom Design stands. I’m also using Tellurium Q Black II cables.
