552 to 350 - better cables?

I have a 552 connected with the free Naim cables (00-010-0244) to 350s. Does anyone know if there are better cables available? I used Superlumina when I had a 300.

@topdj When my dealer first installed my 332/333/NC250/NVCTT system I used the stock Naim cables and was unimpressed. I felt they were average at best. Moved to Chord Sarum T. Significant improvement, but costly. I am by no means suggesting that Chord is the only option. My dealer recommends Chord. Since my disabilities preclude me connecting the cables myself, I am limited to what my dealer carries.

There are numerous better cables. Siltech, Shunyata, Chord, Wireworld just to name a few.

You can’t use true XLR , as 552 has Din/XLR.

I would, in your case, ask a special order to Chord, Chord Sarum T, to connect 552 to 350.

You need to be careful what you buy, as most cable brands will, if they make cables for Naim systems, make DIN to unbalanced XLR for Classic amps. You would need to find someone who would make a DIN to balanced XLR which would be a custom. If you ask Chord I imagine they would be able to do it.

I recommend checking out the Signal cables from AV Options. Very happy with mine, albeit for a different configuration than yours.

Many thanks everyone. I understand that what I need is not a normal DIN to XLR. Sounds like I need to speak to Chord, I can’t believe someone hasn’t already asked them.

Anyway I love the 350s as they are and found them a great improvement over the 300 connected with SuperLumina.

I also tried a second 555PS (from my CDS3) on my ND555 a few weeks ago. Wow - that’s not going back!

If you are in the U.S. AVOptions is a an excellent option.

Siltech too. I use their Classic Legend DIN/XLR balanced phono cables and have one of their power cables on my phono-stage. My dealer wants me to try their new high level cables for my REL six-pack. I also plan to try the Siltech digital coax when I audition a Lumin/Weiss streamer/DAC (for the 2nd time).

AVOptions made a custom XLR-DIN5 Y-cable to connect my phono-stage to the DIN input on my 252.
