BBC 1 is showing the 2018 remake of this film tonight at 10:40pm.
It stars Lady Gaga as Ally, a cocktail waitress, and Bradley Cooper as her (alcoholic) friend who encourages her to sing.
The film shows that Lady Gaga can act and that Bradley Cooper can sing!
A great, rather emotional film.
