Advice on re-cabling my Naim-Linn system

Having decided to clean my hi-fi stack, I set about removing the build up of dust without proper regard for understanding/remembering where all the cables had been plugged-in. Does it look as if my plugging-in is correct so far?

I’m feeling a bit foolish to be honest.

Any advice much appreciated.

Thanks

Yes, that’s correct so far apart from SNAIC5 should have green band nearest to 82, rather than Hicap Don’t forget to plug in the NAPSC too (2 pin socket, bottom left) on th 82.

Have you considered to look in the online manual ?

Thank you James. I have now reversed the cable as you suggest. And yes I am aware of the 2 pin socket, bottom left. My next challenge is to establish where to plug in my Naim CD player, my FM tuner, my LInn LP12/Radikal and my WiiM Pro Plus. I think I remember Inputs 4, 3 and 2 being used but I’m not sure by which front ends.

Not yet but I will.

I’m hoping for a really simple answer. In which NAC 82 sockets do I plug my Nat 2, my Naim CD players and the WiiM?

Thanks

The simplest answer is that you can use any DIN input for any of your sources.

You can’t use the RCA input if it has phono boards installed.

That’s reassuring.

Thanks.

I’m really displaying my ignorance today.

I’m not sure which way to plug in the speaker leads because there are two possible orientations and I’m pretty sure one is better than the other.

If the plugs have been soldered correctly, the + should go to the outer (red) socket. There is a small ridge running along the plastic sheath which is used to identify the + cable. Make sure that this is correct at both the amp and the speaker ends.

Thank you again.

And that right and left are the correct way round they usually cross over at the back. :+1:t2:
