I know the difference between A4 and A5 but is there a difference between the cable where the text is printed on the side vs the newer cable where it’s on the centre as per my existing cable?
In a word, no.
White NacA5 sounds better then black.

My very early A4 has no ‘printing’ on it at all. It was something Naim added latter, AFAIK.
If you’re listening to White Christmas, sure, but not with Black Sabbath.
