Whilst I agree ones hifi should look attractive picking it based purely on how it looks does not make a lot is sense particularly if that means buying old, obsolete kit, streamers after all are not amps.
Agreed, it does not make a lot of sense for quite a few people depending on which NAS/Streamer/DAC that they are using. However, it does make sense to me because I have managed to get away with all other boxes, all I need is an Ethernet cable hardwired to a switch located in my library room.
