I find myself doing this not long after it’s released after midnight.
One of those situations which occasionally brings home my eyesight issues. Found myself assuming for a few minutes that the two yellow letters on my first attempt were in fact green. Had caught me out numerous times since I started doing this. If a green comes up with a yellow then I can see the difference. Absent the green I mostly can’t.
Hi Mike, from the Wordle puzzle page, if you click on the “Settings” symbol you will see an option for “High Contrast Mode” . Selecting that option will change the colours from yellow and green to blue and orange. Hope that helps ! 
Thanks Steve. My eyes like Dark Mode but aren’t generally a fan of high contrast stuff. However, just tried that and it’s quite tasteful. I suspect the problem will be that the colours they use don’t make sense i.e. the orange /amber ought to be the “right letter wrong position” option rather than the blue.
Will try it tomorrow and see if I can remember that it’s the counter intuitive colour option.
