Once I’m up and running I’ll post my experiences hopefully all positives:crossed_fingers:

Up and running guys, thanks Peter for the excellent tips re pushing out the pins from the connector housing and re-seating…I only bent one but straightened and swapped with one of the 2 unused pins. I know I should have waited for spare pins but once I started I thought what the hell.
First impressions…it’s like cleaning the windows and seeing the light  without going into too many superlatives one word will do - Effortless
Thanks all for the comments and advice it’s been invaluable

Hi all, just a quick update, loving the aro generally getting less anxious on cueing…just one mishap where I got the fluff of my Krystal with the paper label :grimacing: but all was well
Related advice please,
I have an opportunity to get an olive supercap question is do I use it on the prefix or my 82 (one hi-cap) opinions very welcome :folded_hands:

The answer is the one you’ll expect. Try both and decide.

Yes did expect that, only reason for asking was the system is all mana..ed and in a cupboard in the adjacent room to my speakers so a bit more messing around blind unless I take it all down and reinstall, just was wondering what the consensus would be… surely source first? Ta

If vinyl is your primary source then I’d put it on the Prefix.

Hi Peter @Cymbiosis

would it be possible to replace both connectors with something like the Binder 719 series? I had an Aro several years ago and its current owner has decided to sell his analog gear. Both connectors are absolutely fine right now, but having a plan b just in case can’t hurt.

The Aro connectors are generally are reliable anyway, but possibly if it was necessary but you’d have to have both male and female parts and work out a way to attach half to the arm board!
