Artists to publicise

New year’s comming, forget resolutions and lets play music… new music.

Which artist do you want to publicise? It’s Time to discover new coup de coeur.

May be, like me, you’re open to something new?

I suggest to start: Coral Egan, nice voice, mood, just good music.

I wish you a nice holiday.

Mine would be Matyas Gayer, the best new jazz pianist I’ve heard for a long time. Classically trained, he is just brilliant.

Coral Egan is new to me, I’ll seek her out tomorrow.

Olivia Chaney has an engaging voice, her 2024 album Circus of Desire was self released, but did well. She was classically trained, but is a singer-songwriter with a folk - country direction plus some pop and dance. Bandcamp. If we still had phone books, I’d happily listen to her sing them.

Thanks for sharing, at this point, Arches is my favorite. Not sure for the phone book but if she can sing with Kronos Quartet then.…

Added to my artist list, I love what he did with Chopin’s waltz.

Sam is a good friend. His comittment to his work is incredible and this coming year he releases his first solo album. He has won several international awards.

I am sure I would never have listened to this music without the personal connection but it now mesmerises me, and he is great live. He has a website and YouTube channel. You can pre-order the album. I am not on commission!

Go Sam.

Bruce

I’m glad you like it. We have seen him twice this year, and have two more concerts booked for next. I was transfixed by the Chopin when I first heard it, and he got a huge round of applause.

I’d forgotten about her Kronos collab.

Never heard this. Its existence has entirely passed me by. One for the next few days then.

Well if personal connections are okay I’m going to push this. First self-produced track from the band my offspring plays drums in. Available on most streaming networks. Second track to follow in January channels Blondie and Hole and was produced by Alan Smyth (Arctic Monkeys, Pulp, Richard Hawley). A huge step up on every front. Small tour consisting of Sheffield, Manchester, London and Brighton to follow.

Not a fan of their new logo nor indeed the title of their first release (great riff though).

This came up in my weekly Q on Friday. New to me and I’ve enjoyed it, especially the piano version of Afterlife.
