Just seen on social media that this years show has been cancelled (no reason given) anyone know why?also missed the StereoNet show at Heathrow though some comments say i didnt’ miss much
I have attended all the Ascot shows since 2019 superb venue but very tiring on the feet at the alst two i found very same-y with the same brands and not the ones id would be interested in
I’ve been to most of these, agree wonderful venue a welcome change from small crowded hotel rooms. No idea why it was cancelled but whenever I have been I always leave thinking it was poorly attended and it won’t be held the following year. All the trade people I’ve asked about footfall wax lyrical on how good it was, perhaps it’s just the size of the place than makes it appear empty…ish. Much missed though it was always a good day out.
Nowt on Hi Fi News site just an ad for next years show (if) pee poor PR!
Agreed. I’m a subscriber to HiFi News but they are poor at communicating this event. In the past I’ve pre-booked a ticket but health prevented me attending. I contacted them to enquire about a refund or if the ticket could be carried over to the next year. They didn’t both replying. Lesson learned.
Ive been on the Ascot site the only event on at the same time is the Ascot Half Marathon (on the 27th) cant see that having much of an impact
