Audio Physic Avanti?

Hello, does anyone have experience of Audio Physic Avanti speakers? Specifically, the more recent version where the bass driver is completely enclosed.

I presently have a pair of Focal 1008 Be 2 speakers running off my Nova together with a KEF KC62 sub.

I love the sound but I’ve never been sold on their looks and I’m feeling a little itchy.

I’ve read about AP’s fantastic imaging and precision but I’ve never even seen a pair in the ‘flesh’ - let alone heard them.

I think l could essentially swap my Focals and sub out at a net zero cost and I don’t mind buying blind (as it’s all part of the fun)

I cannot keep gear I don’t like the looks of. /-:

Audio physic seems to be a very good choice, especially as some very good brands (and I’d include them) don’t have that big name appeal and while they may be harder to re-sell also sell for (relative) bargain prices as used speakers. They were on my last list of speakers to consider (and yes, I’d have to buy unheard). I finally “settled” on a pr. of older Wilson Benesch square 5 speakers- at a great price and very happy with them but as usual the other finishes would have been preferred, but 2nd hand the looks become secondary. Not sure where you are, but AG ( website) has several audio physic offerings- including codex and I gthink some Avanti. good luck

I recently listened to the Audiophysic Sparc at a dealer with Luxman electronics. It is an extremely fast, high-resolution speaker with tonal balance. The Sparc is also suitable for smaller rooms without too much bass energy. However, in this combination (electronics, room approx. 30 square meters), the Sparc sounded a bit thin and austere. It didn’t really move me emotionally. But I would be interested to hear more experiences with Audiophysic including the Avanti or the Classic 25, perhaps also with Naim electronics. May be others users have more experience (like @Cledi13, @mynameisnaim, @llatsni)?

I own the Codex. I used to own Totem Wind and shortly Goldenear Triton reference. The match of the Codex with Naim is one made in heaven. I like the (micro)details, the speed and the snappiness. This all sounds like a lot of blabla but just go experience it yourself. I unfortunately did so and it costed a lot of money :face_savoring_food:. I have the grey glass on outside of the speakers, it’s good looking, easy to clean and the colour doesn’t fade in the sun. Hope this helps you in making your choice.

I heard the Virgo once. They need power. 112/150 was not enough. A big Gamut integrated worked in marvel.
