“I race designed to win”

“There is no compromise.”

“You give everything you have.”

“Everything.”

“Absolutely everything."

As an observation, we have had this repeated identical post, every May, every year, for at least the last six years. Perhaps I have been on here too long.

For me too, the best.

He is worth remembering.

Repeat as often as you wish. I was on my honeymoon when the crash happened. Will never forget the feeling of emptiness.

Perhaps a slightly irrelevant observation but I imagine he would hate modern F1.

Me too actually.

You could argue that when Senna went, the F1 as we knew it went with him.

RIP Ayrton. Legend.

“On a given day, a given circumstance, you think you have a limit and you then go for this limit and you touch this limit and you think, ok, this is the limit. And so you touch this limit, something happens and you can suddenly go a little bit further. With your mind power, your determination, your instinct, the experience as well, you can fly very high.”

He was something of a marmite character. In my view, he was too aggressive as a driver and a danger to others on the track.

And that aggressiveness is why he was faster than everyone else.

Nobody gets into motor racing to not get hurt. They get into it to be the fastest and win trophies.

And shag chicks.

He was a bit like Max. A bit of a git for many years. Then he mellowed somewhat.

He was quite likeable for some time before his accident.

He was, and is, loved in Brasil for the work he did in poor areas. He made a difference to many lives.
