Back to the Naim family, that didn’t take long

After selling off my SN3, NDX2 and associated power supplies I’m back. All it took was the little Nait 50. Absolutely in love with this tiny amp with a big sound. It gives me the punch and rhythm of the SN3 and IMHO has a clarity to it I felt the SN3 was missing.

I’ve been using an Eversolo DMP-A8 for streaming duties and was debating of buying a Cyrus Stream XR for the half width case. The Cyrus USA sells them direct and has two at a heavy discount. Also was looking at used ND5Xs2’s, at quite a bit more money. I’ve had a Bluesound Node and the Bluesound OS is nice, at the end of the day I decided I like the Naim/Focal OS better. Picked up a pretty late model ND5XS2 yesterday from The Music Room and should have it next week!

Just like that, back to Naim. While not as elaborate as my previous Naim system, I love the simplicity of the Nait50 (could be why it sounds so good) and am looking forward to a clean looking streamer with no flashy screen to worry about.

Nice to read! I have heard and read many good things about the Nait 50. I also have an ND5XS2, so I know that is good. Enjoy!

Excellent. Really does prove the case for a half width integrated.

You guys here are to blame. While I sold off my Naim gear this past year, I still checked into the forum periodically. All the talk about the Nait 50 really peaked my curiosity. Plus, I’m a “kid” from the 80’s and the retro form factor just spoke to me. Like others have said, a half case chrome bumper streamer to go with it would be awesome, but as we know that will likely never happen.

No, no, no. If we’re lucky, it will turn into another half-width streamer thread.
