Bedroom hifi, looking for suggestions

We enjoy music in the bedroom and have moved to a new house. Currently dual Sonos give sound but not much joy. I considered putting my KEF LS50 at the end of the bed but decided against it. The cables, amps and gear seem like too much for a bedroom. The KEF live with my elderly mother for musical joy now.

We listen in the bed and I include a pic from ‘listening position’

I am still considering stereo active streaming speakers but dread the mess of cables and don’t know how to position them without it being messy and in the way. I would need to raise the speakers and house equipment (unless they’re stand-alone streaming). Another option would be to place something (muso?) on top of a closet but that seems less ideal in relation to the bed.

So what to get? Considering a Naim Muso or similar. Good stereo is less important here. I want generally good sound, streaming only will suffice. Any suggestions? What have others chosen?

The best product Naim has produced - just amazing

I would say a Muso , keep it simple or if funds don’t allow a WiiM , but my view is a Muso should give far better sound

Perfect bedroom option (here in a little nook in the corner of mine)…

So that’s +3 for muso. Hehehe is there any Naim bias here? -

I stumbled on the Cambridge Audio LR series and the LR M seems quite nice. About the same price as Muso but stereo. Any thoughts what product sounds better?

Peter Tyson were selling the Wharfedale Dentons off cheap so I bought them and use a Devialet 120 in the bedroom.

The devialet can be mounted on a wall which saves a lot of space

Another vote for a Muso.

Or perhaps some nice wireless all-in-one bookshelf/standmount speakers? Image courtesy of KEF…

Obviously a similar concept to the Muso, but quite different stylistically.

I have a Muso 2 for my kitchen and in the bedroom I use a Dali Katch G2. It really produces a remarkable quality of sound for its size. I bring that with me when I go camping too. Not cheap, but much cheaper than a Muso.

Definitely a contender. I do like the styling of the Cambridge Audio LR M. Clean and very low back clutter

My favourite cheap system, I have three sets of these around the house and find them quite remarkable for the money. Plug them in, connect your phones Bluetooth and away you go. As for SQ I’d rate them as highly as I rate Kans and 135’s. Every pair I have sound fantastic and only £79 (Edifier R1010BT).

The missus will love more speakers for sure

We have a QB in the bedroom, but that’s no longer available so I’d also go with Muso 2 unless … you have a lot more money available in which case a Linn Series 3 might be worth investigating.

I think an all-in-one-box solution is perfect for a bedroom. You can do a receiver and 2 bookshelf speakers . . . but I think that a full-sounding box like a Muso can fill a small room with plenty of music. As can other similar solutions such as from Sonos and KEF.

As far as I can see you have nowhere sensible to put even a Muso, never mind a pair of speakers and a streamer/amp, as the wall is entirely filled with tall furniture.

Good review of the Devialet Mania in latest hifi choice, basically a bowling ball of streaming music for £750. Nice looking design.

I would also suggest the muso 2.

What about used gear? Plenty of Musos and QBs out there and no doubt similar from other manufacturers. If it doesn’t work for you, move it on and possibly not be out of pocket.
