The Cure also covered “Love Song” by Adele!
Yeah, that’s a good record. Perhaps got a little over-used at HiFi shows as I recall.
I was just listening to Bobs original, they’re like chalk and cheese but I think I prefer the Eric Burden cover.
I’m not to proud to admit I don’t mind Phil’s cover either. Good thing we’re all different.
Which album is MCC’s cover of Dancing In The Dark on please? Not one I am familiar with.
She does very few covers
On the bbc drama the night manager there was a beautiful cover of Pink Floyd’s WYWH but off the life of me I can’t recall the artist… female and from memory normally sings religious songs.

The Shawn Colvin cd (not released on vinyl!) has a number of really good covers. I particularly like Twilight by The Band, This Must be the Place by Talking Heads and The Heart Of Saturday Night by Tom Waits.
She did a second LP of covers a few years ago but few of them have the same gentle touch this release
had.
Rickie Lee Jones cover of America’s All The Lonely People, from her last album Kicks is better than the original imo .
Jeff Beck - Day in the life (from the Ronnie Scott’s set).

Many thanks, tried to find it as a download but couldn’t. A second hand copy is £8.00 at Amazon, a lot for one or two tracks
Sweet Jane by the Cowboy Junkies
Blinded by the Light by Manfred Man’s Earth Band
Love will tear us Apart by Thea Gilmore
I’ve been a big fan of John Martyn’s “Church with One Bell” album (which is all covers), but the cover of Glory Box by Portishead really stands out
Love the Steely Dan covers on Fire in the Hole with Sarah and Rebeckah. That CD is a great gift.
Another great cover set is Wicked Grin with John Hammond doing a Tom Waits set.
I wish both would do a follow on with more covers from Steely Dan and Waits.

Iron & Wine’s rendition of The Postal Service’s, Such Great Heights. Beautiful as beautiful gets.
I’d also add The White Stripes’s, I Just Don’t Know What To Do With Myself (from Dusty Springfield’s original, even though it was covered by Dionne Warwick, etc.).
The Lovemongers cover of The Battle of Evermore is really good.
Ha ha - quite a few music things stick to a certain time of life and this is a prime example of that and perhaps why I’m such an advocate of PC’s version.
Peter
It’s brilliant, but more of an interpretation than a cover, perhaps?
There are a lot of great covers on that record.
Was looking for your offering and came across this. Not sure if it’s the same song but thought it was pretty good.
