The answer is “evidently”
It does depend whether there is truly one goal or only one goal currently declared.
“So our ultimate goal is to build the house.
But our preliminary goal is to save £100K for the deposit on some suitable land.”
In this example the first sentence is tautology until you read the second sentence. Context is everything.

Not sure about that one. I agree that robots these days are, probably without exception, computerised, but arguably various automata in the past were robots but not computerised…
