For a bunch of average scottish white kids, pretty groovy stuff!

Have not heard from GFR for over 50 years…they were panned by the NME and never really took off here.

Thanks. Found on Qobuz. Enjoying.

I bought this on double vinyl for a quid or two a few years ago from a second hand shop. It needed a clean so didn’t ever get around to playing it.

Might have to dig it out and see what all the fuss is about!

Thanks for the heads up!

The Teskey Brothers: “Live at the Forum”.

Currently listening to this on Tidal with Roon carrying out a first MQA unfold for my Linn Klimax streamer.

An Australian Blues band formed in around 2008, but which I didn’t discover until a year or two ago. Have a listen to their studio album “Half Mile Harvest” as well (“Shiny Moon” and ‘Crying Shame’ are stand out tracks for me), but if you want to listen to an authentic old school ‘Blues’ band with a hint of Van Morrison at times and some understated but beautiful guitar playing, then they are a great choice.

Tangerine Dream : Poland
Somehow captures the mood of life behind the Iron Curtain when first heard in the mid 1980s’. Just as powerful today.

Best Hawkwind live…

1st Space Ritual (obv.)
2nd= Love In Space (1995, the splendidly named Ron Tree fronting them, great mix of old and new)

2nd= Live Chronicles (1988, possibly Huw Lloyd-Langton’s finest hour, and the only official version of this gem)

Both live clips are cut short of their full glory.

Is that a different album to Viva! Roxy Music or repackaged ?

Totally different! Viva! was recorded in 1973, Live in 2001 (reunion tour).
