I used Tidal for quite awhile here in the US. When Qobuz became available in the US a couple of years ago and I did a side by side 30 day comparison between the two services. In my room, with my system and my ears Qobuz sounded much better.

Tidal was CD quality at 44.1/16 while Qobuz offered CD quality as well as HiRes quality albums. I was also not interested in the MQA proprietary software that was need to reach the Tidal HiRes solution.

The cost of Qobuz was $5 USD less per month at the time which was also a nice bonus. Since that time I have switched to a prepaid annual subscription which works out to be $10.83 per month.

Most services offer a free trial period so see what works for you.

I also tried Tidal but switched to Qobuz after doing some side by side listening. I’d switch to Apple but it’d have to be easier than it is now.
