Best way to connect Supernait 1 operating as power amp

The SN1 can act as a power amp only, either via connecting to it’s AV input or to the 4 din power amp input (disconnect the plug for power amp in-pre amp out).

Which connection gives best SQ?

Is the AV connection not just a pass through? ie no volume control?

pass trough no volume/balance etc

I would expect the AV would be equal then.
