I am currently using Chord EpicX cables between my SN3 and my NDX2. I stream about 85%. Maybe more. Would I benefit from better Chord cable to the streamer? If so, what level? I have the XPSDr power supply as well.
Have you tried the one that came free in the box?
No, your current cable or the supplied lavender are great.
Pour a drink of whatever and enjoy your lovely system as it is.
I have the Signature tuned array that I enjoy.
Ask your dealer if you can try some different ones to try.
Are you using DIN to DIN or RCA? You used the word ācablesā (plural).
You always want to be 5-pin DIN at both ends when connecting a Naim source and Naim Preamp/Integrated.
Iād say that the EpicX or Lavender are about right for the NDX2/ SN3.
Have you got / tried Powerlines on your Naim components? Might be a way to upgrade without the need for more shelf space. Iām assuming you would only need two ( One for the XPS and one for the HiCap. ) at used prices they may be worth a try and you can probably sell on at minimal loss if you find they donāt work for you.
I am using DIN TO DIN
I am using Isotek power cables. I could upgrade in their current line.
By far the biggest gain in cables Iāve seen has been upgrading to the Powerline. Everything else was secondary to that.
In your case I would save up for a 555PS DR. I found this a much bigger update than the XPS was when I upgraded. The cost difference on eBay is around £2k
Agree 555 over xps every day.
Witch hat Morganna 5 pin din interconnect. Or try TPās version at about Ā£100 on their site. A lot appear to like his cables especially at his prices.
Started with lavender, then moved to hiline before landing at Sarum tuned array. Each one provided a step up in all the things I like.
I want from std Nain interconnect to an Ex demo Sarum Tuned Aray 2 RCA to - 5 DIN between my 282 and NDX2 at a very attractive price.
I experienced a just transformational SQ lift as the interconnect āburned inā over a 4-6 week period.
Worth looking at AV Options cables too - the SIGNAL DIN5-5. Hand built by Chris West and team.
