As a starting point, you could try using the “Room Simulation” in REW (Room Equalisation Wizard), it’s afree download and the room simulation can often give a very good guide to how speakers will behave in different positions.
Work out possible solutions using that simulation, then try the speakers in 2 or 3 of the positions that work best in the simulation. Pick the one that sounds best, then refine by ear… sometimes moving them 5 cm or up to 20 cm from the suggested position can improve it further.

That’s a good question. Where in the world are you based as that may determine what is available to you?

As others have asked, do you feel the system currently lacks bass extension/control/clarity?

Sometimes a superior amplifier does help a speaker achieve considerably more, especially in the bass department. However, as Xanthe has mentioned, perhaps some information about your room and speaker positioning/layout could be beneficial. A photo could also help though I understand why you may not want to post a picture.

It’s just my opinion but if I were in your situation I would proceed in the following order:

  1. Optimise speaker positioning - we can offer advice on that with enough information. Tannoy dual concentrics can sound quite sharp (titanium dome tweeter) if directly on axis with the listening positioning - slight towing out could reduce HF output which would have an effect on perception of bass.
  2. if possible, arrange to borrow an upgraded power amplifier from your dealer - just bear in mind that this could end up leading to an additional pre-amp upgrade too.
  3. now look into a subwoofer if you still feel something could be gained - I’m saying this as someone who runs Tannoy dual concentrics (much smaller models than your) with 4 subwoofers in two stereo stacks!

Hope this helps?
