Fantastic loudspeakes, get them away from the wall and the soundstage will amaze you.
My dealer – whom I got my Dynaudio Confidence C2 from – is also a YG Acoustics dealer. Now that Dynaudio is exiting the NA market I might have to get a demo, in case I ever want to move on from my C2s (not that it’s a plan to…I think they sound great).
DA is leaving NA?! Interesting, do we know why?
There’s a whole thread about Dyn. Might want to visit that if it hasn’t gone completely off the rails. LOL
So, first time critical listening. The system has been powered up 3 days. Probably 30-40 hours playing time.
Diana Krall - When I look in your eyes - CD
What a lovely sound. Detail is incredible in a nice unforced manner. Lovely breath, very clear on her vocal. Piano strokes have a wonderful delicacy about them. The bass notes are there and very tight, of course it’s a two way so not ground shaking. Drums detail, snare and brushes just wonderful.
Overall, just a lovely experience listening to the whole album.
Hmm, what’s next? ![]()
Dire Straits - On Every Street - CD
Certain tracks I believe I was missing some bass warmth that I’m used to with my Spendor D7.2.
Other tracks sounded great with real bite on the guitars. Was foot tapping on certain tracks.
Eva Cassidy - Songbird - CD
This was lovely. That’s the smoothest I’ve heard this album here. All the details were present however absolutely no sibilants present. Maybe some body to the guitar strumming was missing as compared to D7.2. Not entirely sure.
That’s it for today.
