Big thanks to Naim HQ

So my late model serviced Olive 52 developed an intermittent left channel fade-in/out and complete dropout issue about 4 weeks ago. After running my own diagnostic checks, ie switching the 135s over to rule out power amp failure, and then switching all interconnect/ Sniac cables, Burndy check, the left channel dropouts still persisted which was worrying to say the least.

The only thing that temporarily brought the left channel back in operation was to repeatedly press the mute button, but after a short while the dropout issue would return.

To cut a long story short, the unit was sent to Salisbury after speaking to tech support. They suspected the output relays were probably at fault.

Anyway after a super fast turnaround (10 days) the unit was repaired with new relays, ready for collection at my local Naim dealer.

One week into the warm up the 52 is sounding even better than before, improving in SQ every day.

Big thank you to Graham who carried out the repair :ok_hand:

They indeed do a good job. I am glad you have had a great outcome, I hope you have many years of enjoyment from the amp.

My ND5 XS went in for a new screen, but in addition to that they replaced other bits including I think some casework which had a few marks on it. Now pristine.

That kind of service is rare these days and certainly makes a welcome change. So another thanks here :+1:

Except when my PS555 psu went in to have the on/off button replaced; it came back without having been repaired.
