Imbued with a sense of optimism as things are looking up in the UK at last, my musical mind turned to reggae and by the power of Qobuz I managed to reunite with one of the most foremiddable Toasters of the 1970s. Really enjoying his Live album which is a bit of an audiophile treat as the bass lines are stupendous and the album just gets better with each subsequent track.
Now that takes me back. Just acquired Red by Black Uhuru on FLAC. Have the original on vinyl but never hit around to acquiring the CD for reasons I can’t explain. Big Youth has been disappeared though and is worthy of some reappraisal I think.
