They’re all much the same, and looks like all made by the same mnftr, mine has a Boots label on.
As Mike-B says - just buy from Boots of your favoured phamacist.
Try Omron, may I suggest at first that you take three readings in the morning and the same in the evening.
Discard the first reading on both morning and evening. You only need do this for a few days .
You will usually find the second is lower than the first .
After a short while you will get used to taking your blood pressure and you will find the readings lower as a result. At that point two readings a day should be fine.
Best wishes
Ian
My stroke nurse was very happy when I said I had bought an Omron
As ever thanks guys.
Great advice - it is your resting blood pressure you want to measure. I normally find by the third reading my blood pressure has lowered considerably - even at home you can get the white coat syndrome.
Relax think of green fields far away.
I’ve just suddenly got the irony of this, an old blokes hifi forum advising on BP machines! Thanks again chaps.
@LindsayM , you’ve probably already made your mind up, but another vote here for the Omron ![]()
I take multiple readings until they are consistent, ideally within 3 or 4, and average the consistent ones. As @Ian2001 says the first is often spuriously high, but sometimes it takes 3 or even 4 before stabilises. Alternatively perhaps sit in testing position for several minutes before testing. And testing position is important to getting consistent and meaningful readings. The instructions that come with it probably give that in detail.
I usually see the Omron brand in GPs and hospitals.
I’ve had my Omron for about 15 years and it still correlates with GP readings.
I take my blood pressure daily using a OMRON M4 Intelli IT (HEM-7155T-EBK). Lots of different models and manufactures to choose from.
Another vote for Omron.
If you’re an Amazon Prime member there might be some ‘Prime Offers’ today and tomorrow but how good such offers are generally relies on you knowing the price in recent months which may have been fairly similar.
Omron , get one with a memory.
Although my machine does not have Omron written on it, it is an Omron machine bought from my local chemist. Had it 2 years now and only needed to replace the batteries once. Very easy to use and certainly not rocket science to understand.
Omron recommendation here as well
I use a Boots badged Omron BP monitor.
Interesting and informative program on NHK World about Hypertension.

Pop into Boots, and see what they have. They will all measure pretty much the same. Mine doesn’t have a memory, so you have to make a note of it before turning off. You can pay more for a memory, or App connection, so up to you if that’s worth it.
If you are concerned about the accuracy, then I suppose next time you are having a test at the GP’s, take it with you to do a comparison.
I use rechargeable batteries in mine - takes 4xAA’s
