Blue Jeans Ethernet cables

BJC Cat6a in place of BJC Cat6 from NUC (Roon ROCK)>2960 and 2960>opticalModule and all I can say is game over. And don’t make my mistake - get Blue Jeans Cat 6a to begin with. It’s really really good.

Ah, but you have not heard wireless with the new ultra high resolution, audiophile grade antennae, sold under the brand name ‘Mikgel’ (see what I did there @Mike-B). I was going with ‘Nike’ as the brand name, but I don’t think we could afford the lawsuits.

But of course you have to determine what cable to connect the wifi access point to the NAS, and whether/what switch (might be different from doing wired), and of course where you position the wifi access point, and on what. Re aerials, directional ones would minimise interference - so not the familiar aerials, but dishes, and line of sight…

Me too.

But I’m not aware of anyone actually comparing the 2…

so worth a try

Thanks for the heads up Mon, really very much appreciated indeed… Now I know why I’m earthed…

Out of interest, why are there 2 WiFi antennae on the NDX2? Is it RX/TX?

Wild guess - wifi and bluetooth??

Nah there’s another for Bluetooth, so 3 altogether

I think one is for 2.4ghz and the other 5ghz for better Wifi coverage the other is Bluetooth.

I’m on to it Nigel; I’ve been working on such an antenna for a while, all I was looking for was a name & MikGel is excellent, hinting at how the airwaves are formed & augmented to bond (gel) with the antenna.

The design is based on the anti-resonance principle developed by the russian physicist Professor Shary Vverkh.
It has a multiple tripole array of negative prime numbers, each is double screened to reject all RFI & is tuned to accept only the highest resolution kuhscheise aligned radio signals.
This unique audio-asinus design is made from the highest quality materials; the active tripole elements are made from Polytetrafluoroethylene, connections are metal free & plated with 0.00001% au-free gold.

Once I have the prototypes made, I will issue each of the Naim beta tester with one & we can exchange test results on a thread Wireless Ethernet Mania.

Blimey, Mike. I hadn’t realised you had got so far with the design. What do you think we could charge for one of those babies?

Maybe we should skip the Beta testing though, might reveal too many problems.

Let’s not risk it and go straight to market.

I have got a great distributor, French bloke called Charles Eton. He don’t take returns.

Is this a translation of lyrics by the French singer Renaud?

Seriously they’re fitting well. I haven’t messed around for a week now. The Vodka has been shelved.

Well my full BJC 6a loom is really settling in nicely now. I have lost the urge to play around with other cables. All my AQ cables are now shelved. Thanks to all those who put me on to Blue jeans cables. Very highly recommended!

BJC just told me that they can make up a Cat 5 with RJ11s to go from the BT wall socket to the router.

As I’m ordering a .75M 6a anyway I may as well give it a try.

Hi Jim,
can you order it from their site? Or is it a special order via the phone or e-mail?
