Broken Rega Cart (P10) - Advice

Wondering, if the cleaner damaged this, why is it coming out of your pocket & not theirs, especially since you specifically said not to go near the table?

Not the P10 but I did run a Hana cartridge on my Rega deck at the time (yes, Hana should be readily available across Canada). It’s been years but I think I did run mine with a spacer, that would have been with the SL back then.

It’s when the butler spills my coffee in the morning or if the broadsheets haven’t been ironed that I start to lose my composure.

I find it eye-rolling that a forum full of people with systems worth 5-6 figures where some are happy to doll out several thousands on an ethernet cable would snicker over having a cleaner. It’s the height of hypocrisy.

Send off for a upgrade/rebuild with a Nude line contact on Boron to Soundsmith or Joseph Long/groovetickler

More eye rolling is the trend to look for offence everywhere.

I’ll let @Neilb1906 comment for himself, or not, but I took his comment as light hearted and responded in kind.

Do want you want, have a cleaner. I know for some it’s a necessity that they would rather not have to rely on from circumstances outside their control.

Equally, I ask even family members not to clean the electronics, the sight of pledge or mr sheen going anywhere near them induces a cold sweat.

I had typed a response exactly to that effect but deleted it as I really couldn’t be arsed to enter into a debate. Yes.. it was a joke…old fashioned I know.. but some people get off on policing everyone else.

Send to Rdga for repair;exchange. Better not to change its design.

My cartridge resides within a plexiglass bunker. Marked safe from our cleaning folks.

Man, that Solstice sure looks good with the all-black Fraim.

Your pre could do with a gentle slip leftwards. :face_with_peeking_eye:

Im not sure if it’s the cleaners or the tug of a cable . . . but these things do move on their own!
