I wonder if anyone has home built or is doing so an equipment stand?
Preferably one sensitive enough to accommodate a source namely a T.T.
or a CD player. But not solely limited to that criteria.
The last stand i imported a well known and reviewed brand that uses a LOT of Bamboo and Metal tubes with spikes. Was very carefully set up weighted up with some Amps and CD or
T.T. on the top i was greeted a penetrating upper presence band turned up to 10 and the Bass
what Bass??
So i set about thinking what can i construct i have no wood work gear as i am one of the mechanical persuasion and the only material i can get is from the local hardware.
So a simple garage design it is, Christ surely it is just a fancy shelf!
Experimenting with wood and acrylic i made 5 prototypes all on the mix match and see
what happens principal before i got a result i liked and use to day. Even some of the rejected
prototypes were still better than my Commercial Stand!
