So I understand

Is there any visual difference between S-XPS & XPS Burndies, in which case @Richard.Dane might like photos of the XPS Burndy.
Similar question for my SNAXO 2-4 Burndy.

I am confused over the S-XPS and the SNAXO versions. I have seen them said to be the same - and also different…?
Which is it…?
I’ve read the same thing, despite the fact that the PSUs are different, and of course, there are at least six different (S)NAXOs…(counting olives and blacks) - hopefully there would be one (S)NAXO Burndy to rule them all.
Which is why I’m asking…
I’ll duck out now and let the experts sort it out.
The only visual difference between the original black XPS Burndy and the S-XPS Burndy is the S-XPS label on the latter.
Internally within the S-XPS cable there were some changes in the way the cabling was laid to further reduce any interference between the digital and analogue supplies.
Re. the XPS Burndy, first came the grey, then the black, then the S-XPS. Each was an improvement on what went before.
There were also CDPS equivalents, grey, then black, then S-CDPS.
For the SNAXO, first was grey, then black, again, black improved on grey. Same with the pre-amps, black improved on grey.
So… are the S-XPS & SNAXO Burndies the same… or different…?
Luckily… I got a S-XPS Burndy with my rather beat up, preloved XPS… ![]()
They are different.
Note that the SNAXO Burndy can also be used to connect a Supercap to the Superline phono stage.
Thanks. That must be the commonality that was mentioned.
Not Confused Now… ![]()
That make sense.
So I presume that you’re not overly concerned about getting pictures of the different colours, it’s the labels & pin-outs which matter.
Yes.
Excellent - thanks Neil!
Let me know if you need any others Richard.
Regards
Neil.
OK, I have:
grey SC to (S)NAXO
black XPS to CDX/nDAC
Give me a shout if you need those two.
Anybody with a picture of an S-CDPS Burndy? This was the last version of the CDPS Burndy with similar improved internal wire layout to the S-XPS.
Also, if anyone has pictures of a NAC52 and a NAC252 Burndy (see my opening post for examples of how to best present them) then please do post up here.
