Cable Undressing

This is actually my UnitiCore’s mains source…

Well spotted but it’s a sleeve I picked up with no record. It’s in such good condition I couldn’t leave it behind. Just waiting for a copy with a trashed cover and excellent record

I especially like the sole wire trying to escape

Many thanks for tip. My two Naim units are actually plugged directly into wall sockets and not the strip. That said I will probably change the mains strip but I’m not expecting to hear a difference, but happy to be proved wrong. If I sort that I’ll never be approved for this thread…:joy:

Wrong thread!!

Thanks, “post” deleted “thread” inserted. :grinning:

I think what we are starting to see here is the birth of the iceberg system ( or to be cruel, the paddling duck).

All calm above water, but, below deck, deep chaos rains.

For budding audiophiles, this introduces another system type for purchasing decisions that may be more fundamental than cables. Do you go:

Source first ?
High WAF?
Mullet?

Or iceberg?

So many options :grinning:

Less, ofcourse.

Combine all of these!

It’s probably deliberate, but your solid tech rack is back to front.

Yes, done on purpose. I prefer it with the straight edge front, the curve reminds me of a mouth!

Looks like you’ve broken into my house and taking a pic behind my TV, pretty sure I’ve got cables plugged in that don’t go anywhere now (Sky original previous and now Sky Q and their pathetic WiFi mesh).

The sad thing is they are all connected!! . I tried to get rid of the large coil of chord Ethernet as innuos and ee8 are on same rack but short length didn’t sound as good . It’s also the corner where router, phone, bt mesh etc are plugged in…

Ok, I’ll play. Here’s the office.

I visited our mass spectrometry platform with some official today. This is what I saw at the back of an instrument. I guess it qualifies for cables undressing.

I wondered if I should ask the engineers to dress the cables according to The Rules to get better spectra.

Thought I would join in, most of the cables touch the floor and the wall but I have tried my best, the setup sounds great though :+1:

you definitively should :joy::joy::joy:

I know that this is subjective, but that does look a bit tidy to my eyes :0)

A lovely stand and top of the range cable dressing. The units are so close to the wall I can’t actually see.

Nice lightsaber!
