Can a CD3 player use as a transport?

Hi everyone, I have a Marantz dac/streamer and I was wondering if my cd3 player can use as a transport? What cable will I need? Thanks so much.

No, you can’t use the CD3 as a transport as it has no digital output.

However, the CD3 is a wonderfully characterful player on its own - it’s far from neutral but it’s huge fun. I love it!

Looks like I will need to find a stand alone transport. I will keep the cd3. It’s a great unit. Too bad it can not be use as a transport. Thanks Richard. Have a good one!
