The previous transports and players were very good. So nothing to worry if you have a good deal on one of those.

The Cyrus CDIXR sounds very good. Comparable to Naim CDX without PS. I used this player and a Cyrus CDI while my CDS3 was being repaired. Cyrus has upgraded PS however and the new player cannot utilize the old PS.
Late to the party here. Yes, I picked up a CXC while back. Solid feeling transport and sounds great regardless of whether I run it through my Bluesound Node 2i (via optical mini) OR my RME ADI-2 DAC fs (via optical TOSlink). My preference is through the RME.
