I just set up my CD5si. When I load a CD it spins and spins but never reads the disc. I’ve tried at least ten different CDs in mint condition, most brand new, with the same result each time. Anyone have any ideas as to what might be the issue here?
I assume you have the clamp in place on the disc?
If so, it sounds like the laser mech may have a problem. Time to speak to your dealer.

Yes, clamp was on, it’s just out of the box so I brought it back to the dealer today to see what they can do.
Laser mechs can be capricious and can just fail without warning. As it’s new, luckily it will be warranted.
It is time to upgrade. Why not have a look of Metronome
