Would like to find out when Naim changed the mech type of the CDS3.Year or SR number or both?
I can’t give you the specific answer you want, but I can tell you that the CDS3 I used to have, which was made in 2010 (serial no 293…), did have the replacement mech.
IIRC it was around late 2008-2009. Of course, many earlier players will have since been updated to fit the VAM1202 as part of a service.
I had one of the first ones Richard, 2003 I think. Not serviced yet and still going strong with the original mech etc. I hope Naim will still be able to fix it when it does eventually go but it’s been great so far!
