Anyone did compare both combos, is NDS combo better?

I have compared CDS3/555PS with NDS/555PS, the latter fed by a Naim Uniti Core.
The streamer had better resolution. The CD player had better, more natural flow to the music, so I stayed with the CDS3.
Others perceive the NDS to be equivalent to the CD555, so opinions clearly vary.
