I suppose posting it back to The Chord Company in Salisbury, UK would mean being without it for a while and incur postal costs, but maybe you should contact them to ask if they can fix it, i would hazard a guess they may do it for free even if it’s past the warranty date.
Jeez Louise, it’s Shrink Wrap. If you want a fix that’s cheap and simple. Buy a roll of White Electrical tape. Push the shrink into place and put a band of the tape at the bottom. Half on the shrink half on the cable
