Our tree got stalled in the post-erection, pre-decoration stage for some days but my daughter, having recovered from the trauma of travelling home by train (half day off work to get one of the few trains running from Oxford to Birmingham), plane (three and a half hour delay as they had overbooked and then lost track of who had been allowed to board) and mum-taxi, rose to the occasion.
