A Negroni with oak-aged Gin. Yep, that’ll get Glastonbury up and running.

And there’s always time for a daiquiri with a rather nice Appleton 21 year old

St Germain Spritz.
It is prepared with 4 cl of St-Germain, 6 cl of Prosecco and 6 cl of Soda. In a wine glass with ice, pour the three ingredients, mix and garnish with a slice of lime and a sprig of mint.

Possibly my favourite cocktail is Pornstar Martini, particularly as done to perfection by Covent Garden Social Club (dive bar beneath The Arts Theatre between Leicester Square and Covent Garden).

I’m also particularly partial to:
Espresso Martini
Pina Colada when somewhere like Caribbean, especially served from a slush-puppy machine
Mojito as long as enough lime and plenty of mint.
In one place (Kuramathi, Maldives) they did a frozen mint daiquiri, which was delightfully refreshing, but I haven’t managed to replicate at home.

Of course it depends on the definition of cocktail - e.g. some people call a G&T a cocktail, but to me it is just gin with a mixer.

A Mule (vodka, lime juice and slice, ginger beer) to accompany the Prodigy Glastonbury set on catch up.

We were in Greece in May. Wife reminded me of earlier days when we quaffed the odd Harvey Wallbanger. The bar had no clue on how to make this “old cocktail”…….unfortunately i could not remember either…..tasted pretty odd. Ordered a brandy and coke and slipped off😉

I’m quite partial to a Harvey Wallbanger occasionally. Hardly the most difficult cocktail to make. Perhaps they didn’t have any Galliano.

For some unknown reason they had no idea, i thought it had Galliano and Grenadine…….and the usual suspects in all the wrong proportions. Wife reordered a brandy and coke each……and took me back to the room for a sunset drink.

I’ve not come across one with Grenadine - just vodka, orange juice and Galliano.
Always best to play safe if they don’t know what they’re doing!
