Sometimes, after I’ve completed a task that’s not on my todo list, I add it to the list and cross it off just to give myself a free dopamine boost.
Believe it or not that is actually a good idea… the reward and satisfaction give more than just a dopamine boost, they actually help by contributing to a number of aspects of mental health and wellness (such as reducing stress levels).
