Tbf it’s not a thing we’ve ever celebrated given that our unofficial anniversary is days before and the wedding anniversary days after. I absolutely won’t be in trouble
.
Mrs KJH and myself will be in M’cr in Feb to see her and also in Liverpool 2nd July for her album launch, which is a bit odd as the album is not released until late Sept.
I think she will be solo in L’pool so looking forward to seeing her without her band.
Next Tuesday, The Arkestra at the Union Chapel ( taking a cushion or wearing padded cycling shorts, undecided ). So hope Marshall Allen will be playing….
Sunday 5th July, La Boheme at the Royal Opera House. Afternoon performance so we can go for cocktails after.
Joe Jackson Stuttgart Germany, end of October
Martin
Skerryvore and The Eves in Bridlington in November and a new album as well
Lavinia Blackwall in Hereford at De Koffie Pot at the end of September.
Katherine Priddy in Bridgnorth in early December.
Booked Dr. Alimantado at Future Yard in Birkenhead. Mixed feelings as I know his daughter and there are “issues”.
I see she is playing at The Ramsgate Music Hall and just debating whether I can sum up the courage to book tickets as The Ramsgate Music Kiosk would be a better name for the living room sized venue.
Jack White in Dublin, September
Andy, I think the Hereford venue is a cafe/ bar. So a small room too. I don’t know if Lavinia has a manager or if this is a home brewed tour with Marco? She used to be a music teacher after Trembling Bells.
I just bought tickets for Muse in Milan in November. Insane prices.
And I am seriously considering to see The Lemonheads, again, in September. If only Evan Dando will make it until the show. I have seen them in the late 90s in Berlin and still lover their/his music.
I’m going as well - really looking forward to it
It’s an interesting venue I’ve been to a couple of plays there, in the round, nice and easy to get to as well, just checked and I’m also going to this, I thought it seemed familiar!
I always wonder with in-the-round stages - which way is primarily the ‘front’? Hope I guessed correctly!
It’s not a big venue, so wherever you are it’ll be “immersive” ….sort of.
Thanks Chris.
I think it’ll be good - surely a lot better than the last Glass opera I saw (not one of his best works like Ahknaten, Einstein etc), which was fairly boring.
WOMAD 2026
Fallow year in 2025 so looking for more of “The best music you have never heard”. No doubt I will come back laden with more vinyl.
THE NECKS
